túnica | Se fosse uma cor era amarelo...

Não sei bem (ou de todo) o que é uma manga francesa, mas é o que consta da descrição do molde que usei como inspiração para esta túnica.
Molde: I B do livro Sweet Dress Book, de Yoshiko Tsukiori (super fã de moldes Japoneses e deste autor em particular!)
Tecido: algodão castanho com bolinhas da Feira dos Tecidos da Rua Áurea (Lisboa)
Acabamento: fita de viés feita com algodão cor de rosa comprado há tempos no mercado de Benfica

I’m not exactly (or at all) sure what a French sleeve is, but it’s what’s mentioned in the description of the pattern I used as inspiration for this tunic.
Pattern: I B from the Sweet Dress Book, by Yoshiko Tsukiori (super fan of Japanese patterns in general and of this author in particular!)
Fabric: brown polka dot cotton bought at Feira dos Tecidos in Rua Áurea (Lisbon)
Finishing: bias tape made from pink cotton fabric bought a while ago at Benfica’s market (also in Lisbon)

E porque o fim de semana passado foi o primeiro de sol e calor bom deste ano, avancei com a túnica que é bem fresquinha e, delícia das delícias, usei pela primeira vez sabrinas sem meias! E fui bem feliz! =)

And because this last weekend was the first sunny and warm one of the year, I went off and wore my new tunic and, oh joy, ballerinas with no socks! It was happiness! =)

Nota prévia: como na semana passada, pela primeira vez, publiquei um projeto no site da Burdastyle, tenho o prazer de anunciar que tenho recebido algumas visitas de estrangeiros amigáveis neste blog! E por isso, em prol da inclusão, vou passar a publicar os posts em português e em inglês. (Faço notar, em todo o caso, que as traduções serão livres, e não necessariamente literais.)

Foreword: thanks to the publication of my first project at Burdastyle last week, I am proud to announce that I have received a few visits from friendly foreigners on my humble blog! Therefore, and for inclusion’s sake, I’ll now start posting in both Portuguese and English. (The translations may not be literal though, but more like ‘freestyle’ translations.)

Duas palavras: estou-imparável! Depois do vestido de verão, que acabei na semana passada, esta semana fiz um ‘kimono’! Assim, de rajada!

Acho que me demorou umas 4 horas, ao todo, porque tive que lhe ir fazendo alguns ajustes ao longo do processo. Isto porque, antes de começar, não perdi tanto tempo quanto devia com medições e afins – desenvolvi todo o projeto sem usar a tesoura para cortar tecido! Como as peças que compõem o molde são, basicamente, 4 retângulos (bolas – retângulo…! ainda não tinha escrito esta palavra pós-Acordo Ortográfico…!), foi tudo rasgado com suficiente violência, o que descobri ser bastante terapêutico!

O molde é do Sweet dress book, de Yoshiko Tsukiori, com alguns pespontados a mais aqui e ali, e as mangas encurtadas.

O resultado é o que aqui mostro, e estimo que me vai ser bastante útil nas férias! Que estão quase aí…! =D

Three words: I am unstoppable! After the sundress I finished just the other week, this past week I made a ‘kimono’ tunic! Just like that!

I think it took me like 4 hours, given that I had to make some adjustments throughout the process. And I had to do it because I did not take enough time with measurements before I started – I made the whole dress without using shears to cut the fabric! As the peaces of this pattern are basically 4 rectangles, I just ripped everything I needed with just enough violence, which I found to be a very therapeutic exercise!

The pattern is from Yoshiko Tsukiori’s Sweet dress book, with a littles extra topstitching here and there, and shorter sleeves.

The result is this I show you, and I think it will be very useful to me during my vacation! Which is coming…! =D
