Zebras extravagantes | High profile zebras

O molde é o mesmo que este, sem a parte de baixo das mangas. E as zebras são muita giras!

O colete camiseiro | The shirt-resembling vest

E acabei mais um projeto de costura! YAY!! Fico contente, porque todos os dias encontro moldes giríssimos que quero experimentar, mas a minha habilidade ainda não acompanha o meu entusiasmo…!

And I’ve finished another project! YAY!! I’m really happy because every day I find new lovely patterns I’d like to try, but sadly my skills don’t match my enthusiasm yet…!

A ideia inicial deste projeto era fazer uma camisa, outra vez do livro Tuniques, robes, etc. de Yoshiko Tsukiori.

The initial idea of this project was to make a shirt, again from the book Tuniques, robes, etc. by Yoshiko Tsukiori (which I think it’s the French edition of the Stylish dress book).

Mas no fim, as mangas de balão pareceram-me demasiado volumosas, e acabei por descosê-las, rematar com uma renda e fazer um colete/camisa sem magas. A bainha também foi alterada: fiz uma bainha high-low, que está super em voga agora, e que achei que ficava gira neste tecido fluido. A gola foi um reaproveitamento de uma bainha de umas calças de ganga, os botões são de madrepérola e as casas foram feitas à mão!! O que na prática quer dizer que estão com um ar ranhosinho… Mas são as minhas primeiras, por isso tenho esse desconto… Sim? De qualquer forma, fotografei a mais bonita para vocês! =) (Mas acho que não se vê muito bem… Oops! Mas é a mais perfeitinha, juro!)

 

But at the end, the sleeves seemed a little too puffy, and I ended up unsewing them, finishing with a little lace and doing a shirt-resembling vest. The hemline was also altered: I went for a high-low one, so trendy these days, and I thought would work great with this light fabric. The collar is from some old jeans hem, the buttons are nacre and the button cases were handmade!! Which basically means they look a little clumsy… But they are my first ones, so you guys can cut me some slack… right? Anyway, I took a picture of the prettiest one for you! =) (I guess you can’t see it very clearly, though, sorry for that..! But I assure you it’s the best looking one!)
